Effective November 23, and until further notice, the maximum number of attendees at a funeral service or unveiling is limited to 10 (ten) people, including clergy. This would mean, 9 + 1 clergy at a funeral service. There is no flexibility on this number. Funeral home and cemetery staff are additional.
As a result of Covid, all funeral services are being handled graveside. Graveside services allow for all aspects of the funeral (in the past, typically held at a funeral home chapel or synagogue and the interment occurring at the burial location.) The cemetery does not impose a time restriction on the service, although the funeral home handling the service may have specific timing allocated for a service.
Although our cemetery grounds have re-opened, our administrative office remains closed to visitors. Our hand washing station is not set-up.
As provincially mandated, all visitors must ensure that groups, including unveilings, are limited to a maximum of 10 persons.
Social distancing of 2m (6') from anyone not living within your home must occur, in addition to wearing a face covering while others are in your general area.
